I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I was previously a postdoctoral fellow at the Program on U.S.-Japan Relations at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University. I received my Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018. My research and teaching examine cyber security policy, international relations in East Asia, Japanese politics, and the interaction between economic and security policies more broadly.

I have received funding from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Waseda University, and the Center for Japanese Studies at UC Berkeley. I have been a visiting fellow at Keio University and at Waseda University.
